A Note From Saranne, Our Founder

Saranne Rothberg Photo.jpg

"Nothing seemed very funny February 5th, 1999. That was the night I fractured my funny bone.  I was a single mom with a beautiful five-year-old daughter and I had just been told I had aggressive cancer. We are taught early that "Laughter is the best medicine," but it's easy to forget that in the face of such a devastating diagnosis. Exploring all my emotions and developing my sense of humor were critical in keeping me hopeful. Today I am cancer-free; surviving early stage IV cancer. The ComedyCures Foundation was born during my first chemo treatment 18 years ago when I threw my first "Chemo Comedy Party". ComedyCures®has been a wonderful force in over a million lives ever since. Please enjoy our website, feel-good comedy, videos and live events. With your support, we can do amazing things together to bring joy and wellness to others. Thanks, Saranne"
