ComedyCures® is an award-winning 501(c)3 non-profit organization that brings joy, hope, laughter and therapeutic entertainment programs to the ill and underserved around the globe. Through our live ComedyCures® events and digital outreach, it is our mission to entertain, educate and unify grown-ups and kids living with illness, their families, and medical caregivers. Our audiences experience the benefits of a comic perspective and hope.
ComedyCures® has produced live therapeutic events and programs across the United States, and in several countries, including Asia and Israel, reaching millions of people since 1999 via major media. As ComedyCures® continues touching more lives through our internationally acclaimed live events; we are also focusing on using multi-media technologies to tickle even more funny bones. ComedyCures® collaborates with many medical centers, non-profit organizations, corporations, celebrities and media outlets. ComedyCures® attracts diverse audiences of all races, ages and religious backgrounds from all socio-economic groups. "Yes, laughter is great medicine!" ComedyCures® live events, like LaughingLunch®, have reached over 1,000,000 people. 275,000 visitors stop by our ComedyCures® website monthly to listen to our “Laughter is the Best Medicine” PSA Campaign featuring over 100 comedians as launched daily on 1010 Wins Radio in NYC. Thousands of people each month call 1-888-HA-HA-HA-HA, our ComedyCures® LaughLine®, for a daily joke. Over 100,000 playful ComedyCures® Wellness Joke Book pages have been created and circulated around the world, including delivered to the troops in the Middle East.   COMEDYCURES® LAUGHTALK RADIO® launched in 2008 in New York City and received immediate praise.

ComedyCures® was founded by Saranne Rothberg, a Stage IV Cancer Survivor. Saranne is cancer-free. Saranne was selected as one of Oprah’s Heroes in Oprah’s “Live Your Best Life” book. Dr. Oz recently proclaimed that Saranne is a “medical miracle” on The Dr. Oz Show after reviewing 15 years of her cancer records as they discussed her strategies featured in the ground-breaking, NY Times Best Seller book "Radical Remission". Saranne has been featured by media around the world, including CNN’s "Health & Happiness" Special, ABC’s Good Morning America, CBS’s The Early Show, RNN’s “Saranne with Seniors”, NBC, FOX, YAHOO, PBS, Oprah Magazine, Family Circle, and The New York Times.

ComedyCures has collaborated with The World Health Organization, The United Nations, The Red Cross, The United Way, The United States Marines, Hospitals, Ronald McDonalds Charities, Gilda’s Clubs, Paul Newman’s Camps, Susan G. Komen Foundation, Rotary International, American Cancer Society, CaringBridge, Senior facilities, Fortune 500 companies and many prominent organizations to serve patients, caregivers, seniors and medical staffs.

Praised for their humor and humanitarian efforts, Saranne and her ComedyCures team have won many recognitions including, SmartCEO “Non-Profit CEO of 2014”, New York City Recreation & Parks Society “Entertainment Company Award”, The Rotarian “Humanitarian Award”, Hadassah’s “Woman of the Year”, MasterCard’s “Priceless”, NYWA’s “Rising Star Award”, Yoplait/Self Magazine/Komen “Breast Cancer Champion Award”, Russ Berrie’s “The Making a Difference Award”, “The Cancer Superhero of the Year” Award, Volkswagen’s “Force of Good”, “NJ Humanitarian Award”, The Las Vegas Comedy Festival “Jerry Lewis Humanitarian and Humor Award”, United Way’s “Family Caring Charity”.
